SurveyMonkey MCP Integration

Connect SurveyMonkey to your AI agents through Weldable.

Productivity, Marketing

Weldable's SurveyMonkey MCP integration lets your AI agents access survey data, response analytics, and distribution tools through natural language. Instead of logging into SurveyMonkey to check completion rates or export response data, your agent pulls the information directly and acts on it across your connected tools.

SurveyMonkey's API provides access to survey creation, retrieval, and distribution, along with deep response analytics. With Weldable handling the authentication and intent mapping, your agent can query survey results, trigger distributions, and feed response data into downstream workflows without any custom code.

Use cases

Automated response monitoring

Your agent checks a running survey's response count and completion rate every few hours. When the response target is hit (say, 200 completed responses), it closes the survey and posts a summary to your team's Slack channel with the final count, average completion time, and a link to the full results. No one needs to watch the dashboard waiting for the number to climb.

Post-event feedback analysis

After a company event or product launch, your agent pulls all responses from the feedback survey, groups them by rating, and extracts common themes from open-text answers. It generates a summary report highlighting what scored highest, what scored lowest, and the most frequent suggestions. The report goes to the event organizer's inbox the morning after the survey closes.

NPS tracking and alerting

Your agent monitors your recurring NPS survey and calculates the score after each batch of responses. When the NPS drops below a threshold (e.g., below 30), it immediately notifies the customer success team in Slack with the current score, the trend over the past three months, and a breakdown of detractor comments. Early alerts give the team time to respond before the trend becomes entrenched.

Survey distribution coordination

Your agent manages survey distribution by pulling contact lists, sending survey invitations at scheduled times, and tracking delivery status. It can follow up with non-respondents after a configurable delay, sending a reminder message through the SurveyMonkey collector. The entire distribution cadence runs without manual intervention.

Cross-platform reporting

Your agent pulls survey response data from SurveyMonkey and writes it to a Google Sheet alongside data from other sources. A customer satisfaction survey's scores can land next to support ticket volumes from your helpdesk and usage metrics from your product analytics tool, giving leadership a single view of customer health.

How it works

Connect your SurveyMonkey account through Weldable's OAuth flow. SurveyMonkey uses OAuth 2.0 with scopes that control access to surveys, responses, collectors, and contacts. Weldable manages token refresh automatically so your agent maintains continuous access.

Once connected, make requests in natural language. Ask "how many people have completed the Q1 customer feedback survey?" or "show me all detractor responses from the last NPS survey" and Weldable translates your intent into the right API calls. Results return in structured format, ready for your agent to summarize or pass to another integration.

Tips

SurveyMonkey API plans limit access. The API is only available on paid plans (Advantage and above), and the number of API calls per day depends on your plan tier. Check your plan's API limits before building high-frequency monitoring workflows.

Response data comes in pages. SurveyMonkey paginates response data, returning up to 100 responses per request. For surveys with thousands of responses, your agent needs to follow pagination links. Weldable handles this automatically, but large exports may take a few seconds longer.

Collector types affect distribution options. SurveyMonkey has different collector types: web link, email invitation, embedded, and more. Your agent should target the right collector when managing distribution, since email collectors support follow-up reminders while web link collectors do not.

Question IDs are stable across the survey lifecycle. When analyzing response data programmatically, reference questions by their ID rather than their text. This keeps your workflows reliable even if someone edits the question wording in the SurveyMonkey UI.
