Weldable's Loom MCP integration gives your AI agents access to video metadata, transcripts, and sharing controls through the Loom API. Loom's AI features now generate titles, summaries, and chapters automatically for both recorded and uploaded videos. With Weldable handling authentication, your agent can pull video content from Loom and feed it into workflows that span your other connected services.

Your agent retrieves a Loom video transcript and transforms it into a structured document in Google Docs. A product walkthrough becomes a written guide. Connect your Loom workspace through OAuth. Weldable authenticates with the scopes needed to read video metadata, transcripts, and sharing settings. Tokens refresh automatically, so your agent maintains access without manual steps.

Tell your agent what you need and Weldable routes the request to the right Loom API endpoint. Whether you are retrieving a transcript, listing recent videos, or updating sharing permissions, the agent handles it. You can chain Loom actions with other integrations to build workflows that move video content into documents, messages, or task trackers.

Tips

Use AI-generated summaries as a starting point. Loom automatically creates summaries for videos, and your agent can retrieve these directly. Start with the summary and only pull the full transcript when you need the complete conversation.

Transcripts work best for spoken content. Loom's transcription is optimized for voice narration. Screen-only recordings without audio will not produce useful transcripts, so plan your recording style accordingly when creating videos meant for automated processing.

Tag videos consistently for automated retrieval. If your agent needs to find videos by topic or team, establish a tagging convention in Loom. Consistent tags make it possible for the agent to filter and retrieve the right content without manual search.

Combine with Google Docs for living documentation. Your agent can pull Loom transcripts and create or update Google Docs automatically. This is especially useful for product documentation that starts as a video walkthrough and needs a written counterpart.

Check video access permissions before sharing. When your agent distributes Loom links to external channels, verify that the sharing settings allow the intended recipients to view the video. Loom's default privacy settings may restrict access to workspace members only.
