eBay MCP Integration
Connect eBay to your AI agents through Weldable.
Weldable's eBay MCP integration gives your AI agents access to your listings, orders, inventory, and marketing campaigns through natural language. Open-source eBay MCP servers already expose over 300 tools covering the full Sell API surface, and Weldable brings this capability into a managed environment where your agent can combine eBay actions with Slack, Google Sheets, Gmail, and other connected services.
eBay's marketplace has its own rhythms: auction endings, Best Offer negotiations, promoted listing budgets, and seller performance dashboards. Your agent keeps up with all of it so you can focus on sourcing and scaling.
Use cases
Listing optimization at scale
Your agent audits your active eBay listings for missing item specifics, low-quality titles, or absent photos. It ranks listings by view count so you fix high-visibility items first. The audit results go to a Google Sheet with columns for each issue type, making it easy for your team to work through the fixes systematically.
Automated repricing
Your agent reads your current listing prices and compares them against competitor data or a target margin spreadsheet in Google Sheets. It identifies items priced too high or too low relative to your goals and generates adjustment recommendations. For fixed-price listings, it can apply the price changes directly, keeping you competitive without constant manual monitoring.
Order processing and customer communication
Your agent checks for new orders, pulls shipping requirements and buyer details, and posts a fulfillment queue to Slack. When orders ship, it updates tracking information on eBay and sends a personalized follow-up message to the buyer via the eBay messaging system. For orders with issues, it flags them for your team's attention with context about what went wrong.
Promoted listings budget management
Your agent monitors your promoted listings campaigns, checking click-through rates, sales attribution, and ad spend against your budget limits. It identifies listings where the ad rate is too high relative to the margin and suggests adjustments. A weekly summary goes to Slack with top-performing and underperforming promoted items.
Return and case management
Your agent watches for return requests and open cases. It pulls the case details, buyer history, and item value, then posts a summary to Slack with a recommended action for each one. For straightforward returns within policy, it can initiate the return label process. For disputes, it flags them for manual review with all the context attached.
How it works
Connect your eBay account through OAuth 2.0. Weldable authenticates with eBay's API using user tokens that grant access to your specific seller data. The integration supports both sandbox and production environments, and tokens refresh automatically.
Once connected, describe what you need. Say "show me all active listings that have not sold in 30 days" and Weldable translates that into the right eBay API call, handles pagination across large inventories, and returns structured results. Your agent chains eBay actions with other integrations: pull sales data, analyze trends, and send reports to Slack or Google Sheets.
Tips
eBay has two listing formats with different rules. Auction-style and fixed-price listings behave differently for pricing, duration, and revision. Your agent should check the listing format before attempting updates, since some fields are locked on auction listings once bids are placed.
Item specifics drive search visibility. eBay's search algorithm weights item specifics heavily. Listings missing required specifics get suppressed in search results. Your agent can check which specifics are required for each category and flag listings that are incomplete.
Seller performance metrics affect visibility. eBay tracks defect rate, late shipment rate, and cases closed without resolution. These metrics directly impact your search ranking and access to seller features. Have your agent monitor these numbers weekly and alert you when any metric trends upward.
Use the Inventory API for multi-channel selling. If you sell the same products across eBay and other platforms, the Inventory API manages a single pool of stock with offers created per marketplace. This prevents overselling when your agent manages inventory across Weldable integrations.
eBay's sandbox is essential for testing. Always test new workflows in eBay's sandbox environment before running them against your live account. Listing creation, order simulation, and API exploration are all available in sandbox mode without affecting real data.
