Tips

Name the project explicitly. Basecamp organizes everything by project. Always mention which project your request applies to so the agent targets the right one. "Add a to-do to the Website Redesign project" is clear and unambiguous.

Include assignees and due dates. When creating to-dos, specify who should own the task and when it is due. This keeps your Basecamp lists actionable and clear. Unassigned to-dos tend to get overlooked.

Use message boards for async updates. Rather than pinging individuals, have your agent post updates to the project message board. This keeps context visible to the whole team and reduces notification noise. Basecamp's notification system sends the full post to subscribers, so clear formatting matters.
