AWS MCP Integration

Connect AWS to your AI agents through Weldable.

Developer Tools

Amazon Web Services is the largest cloud computing platform, offering infrastructure services from compute and storage to databases and machine learning. The AWS MCP integration with Weldable lets your AI agents interact with AWS resources through natural language, making it faster to query service status, manage resources, and pull operational data without switching to the AWS console.

Your agent handles the API complexity so you do not need to remember CLI flags or dig through the console's many pages. Describe what you want and Weldable routes the request to the correct AWS service.

Use cases

Check infrastructure health quickly

Your AI agent can query the status of EC2 instances, RDS databases, Lambda functions, and other AWS services. Ask for a summary of running instances, recent CloudWatch alarms, or current resource utilization, and the agent returns a clear report in seconds. Post these health checks to Slack so your on-call team has immediate visibility.

Manage S3 buckets and objects

Need to list files in a bucket, check storage usage, or manage object metadata? Your agent handles S3 operations through simple requests. This is especially useful for teams that need to verify uploads, check file existence, or audit bucket configurations regularly without writing AWS CLI commands.

Pull cost and usage data

Your agent can query AWS Cost Explorer for spending breakdowns by service, account, or time period. Use this to generate weekly cost reports, flag unexpected spending spikes, or compare costs across environments without logging into the billing console. Deliver results to Google Sheets for finance team review.

How it works

Connect AWS to Weldable by configuring IAM credentials with the appropriate permissions for the services your agent needs to access. Once set up on the integrations page, your AI agent sends natural language requests that Weldable translates into the correct AWS API calls. The agent works across multiple AWS services from a single conversational interface, handling pagination and response parsing automatically.

Tips

Follow least-privilege principles. Only grant the IAM credentials the specific permissions your agent needs. Avoid using root or admin-level keys for routine operations. Create a dedicated IAM user or role for your Weldable integration.

Specify the AWS region. Many AWS services are region-specific. Include the region in your request so the agent queries the correct environment. This prevents confusion when you have resources spread across multiple regions.

Start with read-only access. If you are new to the integration, configure read-only IAM policies first. You can expand permissions as you build confidence in the workflows your agent handles. This limits the blast radius of any unexpected operation.
